Note: "Slip", "Slip Socket" and "Socket" all mean the same thing. The pipe glues into it. A 'female' end. The exception to this is a "Slip T" in which case the "Slip part" slides over pvc pipe. It's used in construction projects as hinges or parts that need to move or slide.
Warranty Coverage: Splash Pool Accessories Plumbings & Fittings come with a 30 Day Limited Manufacturers Warranty. The manufacturer warrants their plumbings & fittings against defects on workmanship and materials. This warranty will be void if the plumbing/fitting is damaged as a result of improper installation or use, or if damage is a result of ice. Warranty does not cover any labour charges, cost of lost water or chemicals, or any other damages that may occur.

Bought this valve at the end of the winter with other supplies to setup my new pool that had just arrived from PoolSuppliesCanada.ca. The 4 shipments I have had from them have been fast and accurate, even during the pandemic. I highly recommend them for your pool needs except for this product! I just installed it last night in the last run of piping to the pool. I removed the valve assembly as instructed to cement it to the pipe, and reinstalled after hand tightening with a screwdriver. Flooded the pipe before starting the pump back up, and the valve body immediately started spraying water from 3 different unseen cracks. I have also installed 2 95702 valves in my system, and they have been flawless, but this valve was garbage! Also note the description says it has a clear lid... it isn't! And the tolerances on the Slip fittings are a little off, the 1.5 inch were quite tight, and was one of the crack points, while the outside that is supposed to fit 2 inch fittings had no tension at all on the 2 inch fittings that I tried... Maybe the name brand version is better, but avoid this one entirely! Good luck in your pool setup... I have to go cut out a valve and throw it in the trash!
