Our Story

The beginnings of an iconic brand

Club Piscine opened its first branch in Quebec in 1991. Its founder, Robert Aumont, had already been working in the pool industry since 1967. It was during a trip to Florida in December 1990 that he had the idea of creating the Club Piscine brand. Inspired by his visit to a brand new warehouse-store concept, he returned to Quebec in January 1991 with a clear vision: to offer Quebecers an innovative concept combining pools and accessories for outdoor living.

A Strategic Expansion

Wishing to extend the activity of its stores beyond the summer season, Club Piscine officially became Club Piscine Super Fitness in 2004 by integrating a range of fitness equipment. This diversification allowed the brand to establish itself as the largest retailer of fitness equipment in Quebec. In 2019, the company further expanded its offerings by adding a selection of major barbecue brands, thus strengthening its status as a leader in outdoor living in Quebec.

As it approaches its 35th anniversary, Club Piscine Super Fitness is returning to its roots and simply becoming Club Piscine. This change marks a new era for the company, which is modernizing its image and redefining the customer experience.

Deeply rooted in the hearts of Quebecers, the company is asserting its role as an expert in the art of outdoor living more than ever. With over 2,500 employees and a network of 40 franchised stores, Club Piscine is now Quebec's largest retailer of swimming pools, patio furniture, barbecues, spas, and fitness equipment.
