The Raypak 80,000 BTU Compact Series heat pump pool heater is the perfect solution for above-ground pools and smaller in-ground pools. With its smaller footprint and robust construction, no other manufacturer delivers a competitive product with full featured design elements.
- Cabinet - Durable Steel Pre Painted Cabinet with Epoxy primed using polyester – can withstand 1000 hour salt spray test.
- Louvered side panels protect the coil from getting damaged by flying debris during high winds and other extreme weather conditions.
- Base Pan - Sturdy, one-piece drawn base pan which elevates the coil off the pad, helping minimize corrosion while reducing sound and vibration.
- Easy Service Access - All controls are accessible by removing a single service panel. The removable top grill provides access to the condenser fan motor, compressor and condenser coil, compressor and refrigerant circuit.
- Scroll compressors provide higher efficiency, superior durability, reliability and quieter functionality.
- Raypak uses only R410A refrigerant which is a chlorine free, environmentally friendly and high performance.
- Refrigerant Pressure Controls - To protect the scroll compressor from pressure extremes Raypak installs high and low pressure controls on all models.
- TXV and Filter Drier - Raypak heat pumps come standard with Parker® TXV’s which allows for the refrigerant charge to be throttled during a cold start and will extend the life of the compressor and prevent lock outs. Premium filter driers are included for long trouble free operation.
- Large Air Coils - Innovative wraparound outdoor coil constructed of copper tubing and aluminum fins allows airflow transfer which reduces energy consumption.
- Heat Exchanger - Raypak’s Spiral Titanium Tube provides a corrosion free waterway that can withstand the abuses of harsh pool chemistry.
- Plumbing - 1 – 1.5 inch PVC union connections are included for easier installation.
- Fan Blade - Specially designed “Swept Wing” fan blades operate more efficiently and generate minimal sound.
- Fan Motor - Emerson® permanent-split capacitor or (PSC) sealed balled bearing motor is matched specifically for the fan blade assembly allowing for optimum efficiency and extended motor life.
- Digital Controls - Target your spa and run your pool at a lower temperature by simply dialing in the temperature settings.
- Remote Compatible - Easily controlled by most two – three wire remote systems.
- On Board Diagnostics - Tells the home owner if there is a problem and assists the service technician with detailed diagnostics.
Warranty Coverage: At the manufacturer's discretion. Limited warranty covers replacement parts, if the heater is installed with a pool or spa. The Applicable Warranty Period is two (2) years from the Purchase Date. The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper water chemistry. The warranty will be void if the heater is not installed by a licensed technician, or the heater has been installed on a soft sided pool. Please see product manual for specific warranty details.

This unit lasted 4 years only! I have had to replace temperature sensor 3 weeks ago, and now the motor is gone! Ridiculous waste of money!
Our heater lasted only one season. It worked just fine last summer and was properly drained, disconnected and covered during the off season. When I attempted to start it back up for this summer I noticed the LCD screen was not working properly. Without it the unit is useless. Extremely disappointed in this unit.
Seems to be good so far.
Love it! Having the heater has increased our pool usage substantially this summer. It has also extending the season! Totally thrilled with the unit.

WE'VE HAD IT FOR JUST ONE SEASON BUT IT'S BEEN GREAT SO FAR. IT APPEARS TO BE WELL-BUILT AND IT IS VERY QUIET WHEN RUNNING. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT. GREAT TECHNICAL SUPPORT FROM YOUR COMPANY AND THE MANUFACTURER. I HAD A QUESTION AND CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND THEY CALLED ME BACK WITH THE PRECISE INFORMATION I NEEDED.
Installé en 2014, elle fonctionne à merveille, j'ai une piscine 24', par de belle journée je monte de 1 Degree à l'heure
Just installed it 3 days ago. Despite the low ambient temperature (11 C on average) it brought my pool to 27 in about one day. I was expecting to do this in 4 days. It is impressive. Though it is a bit oversized for my 48,000 L pool. Installation costs a lot if you need to run another cable to the unit (230V 50A). I think is a good product for the money.
Fontionne bien , je l'ai installer en sept. 2014 alors je ne peut calculer l"economies. J'ai une piscine creusee 21x36 je n'utilise pas de toile solaire par choix.JE RECOMMANDE
This works great for us, price is better than any other unit we looked at. only issue we have is the look is a tad outdated.
Great price! These work like a dream ...saves money over gas/propane units and very simply to use.
Didn't want to spend a bunch of money and heard about the raypak brand. Its a good heater, hooked up no problem, I'm glad we got it.
